The conceit of this adaptation, however, was to make one major change: to place it all back in the exact same period that Shakespeare did. Doing yet another takeoff on Romeo and Juliet hardly gets points for originality, and the latest - which focuses on Juliet’s rival for Romeo, her cousin Rosaline - is strictly for the YA crowd. ![]()
